چکیده

The purpose of this study was to investigate the protective effect Beta vulgaris leaf extract (BVLE) on Fe2+-induced oxidative testicular damage via experimental and computational models. Oxidative induced incubation tissue supernatant with 0.1 mM FeSO4 for 30 min at 37 °C. Treatment achieved by incubating tissues BVLE under same conditions. catalase (CAT), superoxide dismutase (SOD), glutathione (GSH), malondialdehyde (MDA), nitric oxide (NO) levels, acetylcholinesterase (AChE), sodium-potassium adenosine triphosphatase (Na+/K + ATPase), ecto-nucleoside triphosphate diphosphohydrolase (ENTPDase), glucose-6-phosphatase (G6Pase), fructose-1,6-bisphosphatase (F-1,6-BPase) were all measured in tissues. We identified bioactive compounds present using high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). Molecular docking dynamic simulations done a approach. induction (p < 0.05) decreased activities GSH, SOD, CAT, ENTPDase. In contrast, also resulted significant increase MDA NO levels an ATPase, G6Pase, F-1,6-BPase activities. treatment reduced these compared control levels. An HPLC investigation revealed fifteen BVLE, quercetin being most abundant. molecular MDS analysis suggest that schaftoside may be effective allosteric inhibitor fructose 1,6-bisphosphatase based interacting residues subsequent loop conformation. These findings indicate B. can protect against injury suppressing stress, acetylcholinesterase, purinergic while regulating carbohydrate dysmetabolism.

Sugar beet (Beta vulgaris L.).

Creating transgenic plants is invaluable for the genetic analysis of sugar beet and will be increasingly important as sugar beet genomic technologies progress. A protocol for Agrobacterium-mediated transformation of sugar beet is described in this chapter. Our protocol is optimized for a sugar beet genotype that performs exceptionally well in tissue culture, including the steps of dedifferentia...

Effects of zinc toxicity on sugar beet (Beta vulgaris L.) plants grown in hydroponics.

The effects of high Zn concentration were investigated in sugar beet (Beta vulgaris L.) plants grown in a controlled environment in hydroponics. High concentrations of Zn sulphate in the nutrient solution (50, 100 and 300 microm) decreased root and shoot fresh and dry mass, and increased root/shoot ratios, when compared to control conditions (1.2 microm Zn). Plants grown with excess Zn had inwa...

Characterization of the Xanthophyll Cycle and Other Photosynthetic Pigment Changes Induced by Iron Deficiency in Sugar Beet (Beta vulgaris L.).

In this work we characterize the changes induced by iron deficiency in the pigment composition of sugar beet (Beta vulgaris L.) leaves. When sugar beet plants were grown hydroponically under limited iron supply, neoxanthin and beta-carotene decreased concomitantly with chlorophyll a, whereas lutein and the carotenoids within the xanthophyll cycle were less affected. Iron deficiency caused major...

A morphogenetic crop model for sugar-beet (Beta vulgaris L.)

This paper is the instructions for the proceeding of the International Symposium on Crop. Sugar beet crop models have rarely taken into account the morphogenetic process generating plant architecture despite the fact that plant architectural plasticity plays a key role during growth, especially under stress conditions. The objective of this paper is to develop this approach by applying the Gree...

Protective role of Beta vulgaris L. leaves extract and fractions on ethanol-mediated hepatic toxicity.

The present study was undertaken to investigate the hepatoprotective action of Beta vulgaris Linn. (BV, Chenopodiaceae) leaves against ethanol-mediated hepatotoxicity. Rat hepatocyte culture and rats were used as in vitro and in vivo screening models, respectively. In the in vitro studies, different extracts (i.e., petroleum ether, ethanol and aqueous) and fractions derived from ethanol extract...
